The challenge:
After successfully starting up a craft brewery in the tiny “tilted” barn near their Exeter farmhouse, Kara and Matt Richardson needed a new, bigger barn – and not right next to their house like the original. The new barn is positioned closer to the road than their setback farmhouse where Kara’s grandparents once lived.
The solution:
A 7,400 square foot production area was designed to house a 30-barrel brewhouse and production support areas. And a 2,200 square foot Tasting Room would provide a welcoming gathering place for customers to hangout with family and friends while enjoying the product. The 1,900 square foot Mezzanine is an important multi-purpose area: allowing patrons to overlook both the production area and the Tasting Room, and providing valuable office space, merchandise storage and packaging storage.
