The challenge: Add a second floor to a house in a neighborhood full of similar single story residences.

The solution: Adding a front porch provided just enough second floor space for a spacious Master Suite. The new stair is located in what was a very small bedroom. The first floor, including the doors and windows at the front of the house, remain unchanged.
