The challenge: Accommodate the owner’s growing family in a 1950s ranch located in Narragansett on Block Island Sound.

The solution: Light, air, and seascapes. We added a second floor and configured indoor and outdoor spaces to create views of the water. To honor the area’s vernacular architecture we selected white cedar siding and copper flashing for a durable exterior.
