The challenge: Update and expand a funeral home in historic Wakefield, Rhode Island

The solution: Respectful translation of tradition to meet modern needs. We doubled the capacity of the facility, created spaces for people to gather before functions, and added an accessible entrance. To strengthen the building’s presence in Wakefield’s historic streetscape, we duplicated ornate details of the original Victorian structure in modern materials for the addition.
